How to Peel Almonds

How to Peel Almonds

Follow this three-step tutorial to learn how to peel almonds before using them in various recipes.

1. Put raw almonds in a pot and pour boiling water on top, just enough to barely cover the almonds.

2. Let the almonds sit in the water for about 2 minutes. Do not keep them there for too long, or they will lose their crispiness and will be too soft.

3. Drain the almonds on a strainer, pat dry with paper towels or a kitchen towel, then slip the skins off by squeezing the almonds between your thumb and forefinger. The skin will easily slide off. Spread on paper towels and let dry completely before using.
