A very brief description of these chocolatiest crinkles would be something like this: They are darn good!  They are chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside. And beware, they disappear fast. At least this is the case in our cookie monster filled family.

Makes about 20 (According to the original recipe, the yield is about 4 dozen cookies, but I was only able to get 20 cookies).

Ingredients

5 ounces (140 g) bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, chopped
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick / 4 oz / 115 g) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed dark  brown sugar
1 large egg
1 + 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
